Can Facebook benefit your classroom?

Facebook is a website that I'm sure most of you have heard of and probably many of you have used. Facebook is a tool which can be used to connect with friend and keep them updated on your life. Something that you may not have considered is the possibility of using Facebook to connect to your students. I don't recommend that a teacher should use their personal Facebook profile to add their students. Many parents and students might view this as too personal and a violation of the teacher-student relatioship. However, I see no harm in creating a class page which students can follow. Teachers could potentially use this page as a way to remind students of assignments or spark discussions. Here is a tutorial video on how to create a Facbook page.
